To get it set up, we'll need:
- Your business name, as you want it spoken on calls
- The hours you want it to mention (it still answers 24/7 — this just controls what it tells callers)
- Whether you want to forward your existing business number to it, or use a new dedicated number (see Forwarding your number vs. getting a new number)
Once it's configured, place a test call yourself before going live (see Placing a test call) to hear exactly what your customers will hear. You can request changes to the greeting, business name, or hours at any time — they're not locked in after launch.
Every call automatically opens with a short, legally required disclosure that the caller is speaking with an automated assistant (see Why every call starts with a short disclosure) — this is built in and can't be turned off.
